As the material is cast rather than laid, it produces an even, seamless topping. Even colour changes are possible without joints. The design flexibility is (almost) limitless. For example, different functions can be differentiated from each other through changes in colour, corporate colours can be integrated into the building, and even imaginative and artistic patterns are possible. The floor can fit in with the chosen interior design or it can itself become the element that makes the room. With the seal, the material can be given either a shiny or a matt topping. If the coating itself has an attractive design, a transparent seal is used; however, coloured seals can also be used.  

Mastertop is the name given to the PUR floor coverings from BASF, which not only boast design flexibility but also demonstrate many functional advantages. The floor is applied quickly, even in rooms with unusual geometry. The direct adhesion bond with the substructure prevents problems and damage due to bulges or penetration from liquid. Mastertop toppings are very easy to clean. They are also easy to renovate: A re-topping is recommended after about 10 years, when the floor will be sanded down and re-sealed. Then, if required, a new colour concept can be implemented - a coloured seal re-opens the whole range of design possibilities. The floor can therefore remain in use even if the use of the building changes – the manufacturer expects a service life of 40 years. The ease of cleaning and long service life of the Mastertop systems have a very positive impact on life-cycle costs.   

Mastertop floorings are available in an anti-skid design, have an impressively high wear resistance and are UV resistant after sealing. They can be combined with a floor heating system; furthermore, the Mastertop 1325 REG and Mastertop 1326 REG systems are equipped with a noise-absorbent matt for reducing impact noise.
